Our Story

Don Balilo Perez Tobacco & Co., is located in La Penda, La Vega, Dominican Republic. The cultivation of Tobacco began in 2017 by the founder Jason Perez along with a team of experienced agriculturists. Amongst the team is Jose Luis Caraballo (Jochy) who brings over 20 years of master blending and hand rolling cigars with La Flor Dominicana Cigar (LFD). 

Now, don’t let our launch date of 2017 fool you! Tobacco has been in the Perez family since the 1950’s. Baudilo Perez (Balilo) enjoyed the simple things in life during those early years as to where he would simply plant fields of tobacco in his vast amount of land in the Dominican Republic. And when it was ready to be picked he would just walk by, roll a nice cigar and keep walking. Don Balilo was a unique and mysterious man, he passed on his legacy to his grandson, Jason Perez, to where now he brings you Don Balilo Perez Cigars.

Jason Perez started in the cigar industry not only because of his passion for great tobacco and the characteristics of a great cigar, but he wants to bring you a piece of his family via an amazing cigar straight from his family's soil. It is no secret that there are hundreds of great cigars but the truth is there is only 1 Don Balilo Perez Cigar.
